Our Programme
We are in a year of action research, trying out new events and initiatives. We want you to join us in making things happen in the JQ from organising new things, attending events or sharing ideas and shaping what happens next.
Micro Grants
Our Micro Grants are launching early 2025.
There will be two types of grant you can apply for and you can apply for both grants.
Our revenue grants can fund time and activity for people to make events, activities and regular groups happen.
Our capital grants can pay for equipment and resources for residents, community groups and local businesses. This could be a PA system so that a venue can offer more diverse events, live streaming resources for filming and sharing skills, equipment and materials to run regular craft groups.
The most you can apply for is £1,000.

JQ Lates
From Digbeth First Friday to Open Studios we know that there has always been ways to see behind the closed doors of creatives in Brum. For the JQ we have our lates series where we invite you to see behind the key holes of the businesses in the JQ on the Final Thursday of each month.
Businesses and venues wishing to sign up and find out how to get involved contact us.
Residents and visitors awaiting the details for our first Final Thursday, follow us on social and sign up to the newsletter at the bottom of this page!
Creative Careers
We’re working with local traditional trades and creatives in the Jewellery Quarter to bring creative careers fairs to local secondary schools and develop new placement and work experience offers for young people. Want to get involved then get in touch, want to find out more then sign up to our news letter for details!
Made in the JQ
Shoppers in the JQ have often remarked how they would love to know what items have been made locally. The Made in the JQ brand is to help signpost shoppers to any handmade crafts that have been made here from fine jewellery, leather goods, artworks, ceramics and more.
We want people to celebrate shopping locally and supporting the skills and talents of local makers.
Want to shout about the items you make being from the JQ then reach out and tell us about yourself and your products and the printed matter that would be most useful for you to signpost shoppers to your local made goods!
